A weak or receding chin is the thing people message me about more than any other area, and it is usually the smallest change on my price list. Chin filler is £130 for 0.5ml and £150 for 1ml at House of Glam HQ in Southsea, and for a lot of chins 0.5ml is the whole answer. I am Natasha. I run the clinic on Auckland Road East and I do every injection here myself. What follows is what chin filler costs, how much you actually need, how long it lasts, and the part that tends to get left out, which is what filler at the chin will not do.
How much does chin filler cost?
Here is the whole chin list. There is no fourth option behind an enquiry form, and no price that only appears once you are sitting in the chair.

That £15 is worth explaining, because a lot of people assume a consultation is either free or expensive. It is neither. If you book a consultation by itself, it is £15 and it comes off the price of the treatment when you go ahead. If you book the chin filler directly, the consultation happens at the start of that appointment and there is no separate fee. Every price is published, where most Portsmouth clinics quote only after a consultation.
How much does 1ml of chin filler cost in the UK?
Mine is £150. I cannot tell you what a national average is without making one up, and the honest reason the question gets asked at all is that so few clinics publish the number. You see “from” prices, or a form.
What I can tell you is what the millilitre buys. A chin is a small, dense area, and filler there is doing structural work rather than filling a line, so the difference between 0.5ml and 1ml is usually the difference between balancing a profile and changing it. Neither price includes anything you have to add on afterwards. Numbing cream and the appointment time are part of it.
Is 2 syringes of chin filler a lot?
For a chin, yes, that is a lot, and it is more than most people need. A chin takes 1 to 2ml in total at the very top end, and that is for a chin that needs real length or width added. Plenty of chins are done with 0.5ml.
The reason two syringes gets asked about is that people have seen it quoted as a starting point elsewhere and assume it is a standard. It is not. I will tell you how many millilitres I think your chin needs, and the price that goes with it, before anything is opened. If I think 0.5ml will give you what you are after, I will say so, even though it means you spend £20 less.
If you are treating more than one area in the same visit, buying the filler by the millilitre usually works out to less than paying for each area separately. The packages are further down.
How long do chin fillers last?
Nine to eighteen months, depending on the product and on you. The chin moves less than the lips, which is why it tends to sit at the longer end rather than the shorter one, and why chin filler is one of the better-value areas on the list over a couple of years.
How fast your body breaks hyaluronic acid down is individual, and I cannot predict it from looking at you. What I can say is that you will know when it has gone, because the profile you got used to goes back to the one you had. A top-up is a decision you make when you notice, not a standing appointment.
What chin filler will not do
Filler adds volume. That is the whole of it.
It does not move bone. It will not change a bite or a jaw position, and if an orthodontic problem is what is actually bothering you, filler is the wrong tool and I would rather tell you that than sell you a syringe. It will not slim a face. It does not tighten loose skin under the chin, and it does not remove a double chin. That is a different question with a different answer, and it is fat dissolving territory, not filler.
It also will not fix a profile on its own if the thing throwing the profile out is the nose rather than the chin. The two are read together. That is a five-minute conversation at the consultation, not something you should have to work out from photographs at home.
Chin filler or jawline filler?
They do different jobs and they are often confused because both land in the lower face.
Chin filler works at the point of the chin and pushes it forward, which brings it into line with the lips and the nose. It is a profile treatment, and most people notice it in a photograph taken from the side before they notice it in the mirror.
Jawline filler builds the line from the angle of the jaw forward, and it is about definition from the front rather than projection from the side. It is £160, and I have written about what jawline filler does and what it costs separately.
A fair number of people come in asking for one and leave having had the other, because the thing they were pointing at in their photos was the other one. Some have both, which is what the volume packages are for.
What about the hollows either side of the chin?
Those are the pre-jowl hollows, and they are the reason a chin can look sharp in the mirror and soft in a photograph. Treating the chin without them sometimes makes the hollows more obvious rather than less, so the two are priced together at £190 for one appointment.

Treating more than one area in a single visit is priced by the millilitre instead of by the area, and I place the filler where it makes the difference.

What happens in the appointment
It takes about thirty to sixty minutes, and most of that is not the injecting.
I look at your face first, from the front and from the side, and tell you what I think the chin needs and what I would leave alone. Then numbing cream goes on and sits for a while. The filler itself is lidocaine-blended, so the area keeps numbing as I work. Most people describe it as pressure rather than pain, and the chin is one of the more comfortable areas because there is less nerve density there than in the lips.
All the filler I use is CE-marked hyaluronic acid, Juvederm, Restylane or Belotero, and nothing else. No permanent filler, and nothing that cannot be reversed. That is deliberate, and it is why the next answer is a yes.
The first two weeks
Some swelling, a little redness at the injection points, and occasionally a small bruise. It usually settles within twenty-four to seventy-two hours. Skip heavy exercise, alcohol and heat, including saunas and hot baths, for the first twenty-four hours.
The shape you are judging is the one at about two weeks, not the one in the car park. Chins swell in a way that can make the result look bigger than it is for the first few days, and every year somebody panics on day two about something that is gone by day six. Can chin filler be dissolved?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid is broken down by hyaluronidase, and that includes filler somebody else put in. Facial filler dissolving starts at £180 and is booked after a £15 patch test and consultation at least a week beforehand, because the enzyme itself needs testing before it is used.
I mention it every time, not because I expect anyone to need it, but because “can I undo this” is the question people are too polite to ask. The answer is yes, and it is why I use nothing but hyaluronic acid.
Who should not book chin filler
You need to be eighteen or over. Not during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you have an active skin infection, a cold sore or a breakout over the chin, I move the appointment rather than inject through it.
