Who dermal filler suits, and who should wait
Most people who ask me about filler are not after a different face. There is one thing that bothers them in photos, and they want it balanced. This is who gets the most from it, and the one line that rules you out for now.
A weak or receding chin
Chin filler adds projection and brings the chin into line with the lips and nose. A small amount usually makes a clear difference, and it is £130.
Flat or tired-looking cheeks
Cheek filler puts volume back through the mid-face and lifts it, which also softens the lines below. £160.
Nasolabial folds or marionette lines
Nasolabial folds run from the nose to the corners of the mouth; marionette lines run down from the corners. Each is £150, and they are often treated together.
A soft jawline you want defined
Jawline filler builds the line from the angle of the jaw to the chin. It suits a jaw that has lost definition, or never had much. £160.
A bump or a drooping tip, without surgery
A non-surgical nose job uses filler to smooth a bump or lift the tip. It does not make a nose smaller, and I will say so if filler is not the right answer for your nose.

Chin and cheek are the two areas people message me about more than any other, and the questions are always the same. Here is what each one actually does, how much filler it usually takes, what it costs at House of Glam HQ in Southsea, how long it tends to last, and what it will not do.
Chin filler
A weak or receding chin is the thing I am asked about most, and it is usually the smallest change on the menu. Filler placed at the point of the chin adds projection and brings it into line with the lips and the nose, which is what balances a profile. Most people notice the difference in a photograph taken from the side before they notice it in the mirror.
0.5ml is enough for a lot of chins. If yours needs more length or more width, a chin takes 1 to 2ml in total. I will tell you which before anything starts, and the price with it. If the hollows either side of the chin are part of what bothers you, pre-jowls and chin are treated together in one appointment for £190.
Filler adds volume, and that is all it does. It does not move bone, it will not change a bite, and it will not slim a jaw. If that is what is actually bothering you I would rather say so than sell you a syringe.
Cheek filler
Cheeks flatten with age, and some faces never carried much volume through the mid-face to begin with. Filler placed on and just below the cheekbone puts that volume back and lifts it, which softens the nasolabial folds underneath without treating them directly.
Cheeks usually take 1 to 2ml a side. Cheek filler is £160, and if you want more volume than that, or cheeks alongside another area in the same visit, the volume packages buy the filler by the millilitre instead and start at £250 for 2ml across two areas. It is also one of the longer-lasting areas on the menu.
Cheeks are where too much shows first. Overfilled cheeks are what people mean when they say somebody looks done, so I place conservatively and would rather you came back for a little more than started with too much.

From the consultation to the top-up
Consultation
£15 on Fresha, deducted from your treatment if you go ahead, or at the start of a treatment booked directly, with no separate fee. I look at your face and say which areas, how many ml and the price before anything starts.
The treatment
About 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the areas. Numbing cream first, then the filler, which is lidocaine-blended so it keeps numbing as I work. Most people describe pressure rather than pain.
Straight after
Some swelling or a bruise for a few days is normal, and most people go straight back to their day. No heavy exercise, alcohol or heat, including saunas and hot baths, for 24 hours.
Settling, and top-ups
It settles over two weeks, and that is the result you keep. Filler typically lasts 9 to 18 months, depending on the area and the product. A top-up when you want one, not on a schedule.

Are dermal fillers safe?
Like any injectable treatment, filler carries some risk, and what keeps it low is the person injecting and the product they use. Every filler used here is CE-marked hyaluronic acid, lidocaine-blended, and it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if it ever needs to be. Natasha assesses you before anything is injected and will say if filler is not right for you.
Can dermal fillers be dissolved?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks it down quickly and completely. If you are ever unhappy with a result, or change your mind, it can be reversed. It is the reason House of Glam HQ uses hyaluronic acid filler and nothing else. Dissolving is priced above, including filler you had done somewhere else: £180 for lips, from £180 for the face and £280 to dissolve and refill lips, after a £15 patch test booked at least a week before and deducted from your treatment.
Why does House of Glam publish every price?
Because I would want to know before I sat down. I am an independent practitioner rather than a chain, so I set my own prices and publish all of them: dermal filler starts at £130, and what you see on this page is what you pay. You do not need a consultation just to find out the price.
How many syringes of filler will I need?
It varies by area and by face. Lips take 0.5ml or 1ml; cheeks usually 1 to 2ml a side; a chin or jawline 1 to 2ml in total. That is what the 2ml, 3ml, 4ml and up-to-5ml packages are for. I recommend only what is needed and give you the number and the price at the consultation, with no pressure to go beyond it.
What areas can dermal fillers treat?
Cheeks, jawline, chin, lips, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, the pre-jowl area either side of the chin, and the nose, as a non-surgical nose job or a pixie tip lift. Natasha assesses your face at the consultation and says which areas would make the difference you are after, and which to leave alone.
How long do dermal fillers last?
It depends on the area and the product. Lip filler typically lasts 6 to 12 months, cheek and jawline filler 12 to 18 months, and nasolabial and marionette filler 9 to 12 months. Your metabolism and how much the area moves make a difference too. Natasha will say what to expect at the consultation.
What are dermal fillers made of?
Hyaluronic acid, which the body makes naturally. The brands used here are Juvederm, Restylane and Belotero, all CE-marked and lidocaine-blended so the area numbs as it is treated. Hyaluronic acid holds water, which is what gives the volume, and it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. No other type of filler is used.
Is there downtime after dermal fillers?
Very little. Some swelling, redness or a bruise at the injection points is normal and usually settles within 24 to 72 hours, with the final result at about two weeks. Most people go straight back to their day. Skip heavy exercise, alcohol and heat, including saunas and hot baths, for 24 hours.
