Bunny lines are the small diagonal creases that run across the bridge and the upper sides of your nose when you scrunch it, squint into the sun or laugh properly. Most people never notice them until they see a photo of themselves mid-laugh, and then they cannot unsee them.
At House of Glam HQ in Southsea I treat them with anti-wrinkle injections for £150. That is the whole price. It is less than the £170 I charge for one standard area, and further down I have set out exactly why, and what the total comes to if you want bunny lines alongside something else. Every price is published here, where most Portsmouth clinics quote only after a consultation.
What are bunny lines?
They are a movement line, not a volume problem. A thin muscle called the nasalis sits over the bridge and sides of your nose, and every time you wrinkle your nose it pulls the skin into short diagonal folds. Do it often enough, for long enough, and the skin starts to hold a faint version of those folds even when your face is still.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. If the creases only appear when you move, relaxing the muscle softens them well. If they are etched in and visible while your face is completely at rest, injections will soften the movement but the resting line stays, and no honest practitioner should promise you otherwise.
Why bunny lines often turn up after frown lines are treated
This is the most common reason someone books this treatment with me, and almost nobody warns you about it beforehand.
When the muscles between your brows are relaxed, your face still wants to make the expressions it has always made. The smaller muscles nearby pick up some of that work. The same thing happens at the brow, which is why a non-surgical brow lift at £150 is often booked alongside frown lines. The nasalis is one of them, so for some people the nose starts creasing more noticeably in the weeks after a frown line treatment than it ever did before. It is not a complication and it is not a mistake. It is a muscle doing more because its neighbour is doing less.
If that is what has happened to you, you are not starting from scratch. A small dose into the nasalis on each side usually settles it, and if you are still inside the prescription period from that treatment, you are not paying the £25 prescriber fee again.
What anti-wrinkle injections do for bunny lines
A very small amount of botulinum toxin goes into the nasalis on each side of the nose. It is a shallow placement with a fine needle, it takes a couple of minutes, and most people describe it as a sharp scratch rather than pain.
Movement starts to soften from around three to five days. The settled result is judged at your 14-day review, which is included in the price and is not an upsell. I will not give you a figure in months for how long yours will last, because it depends on how hard that muscle works and how quickly your body turns the product over. How long anti-wrinkle injections last goes through what actually changes the timing.
Anti-wrinkle injection prices in Portsmouth
Here is the full list, the same one that sits on the anti-wrinkle injections page. A standard area means forehead lines, frown lines or crow’s feet. Bunny lines, lip flip, brow lift and chin dimpling each have their own price and are booked on their own.
| Treatment | Price |
|---|---|
| Bunny lines, the sides of the nose | £150 |
| Lip flip, a small dose along the top lip | £150 |
| Brow lift, the outer brow | £150 |
| Chin dimpling | £150 |
| 1 standard area, forehead lines, frown lines or crow’s feet | £170 |
| Masseter, for jaw clenching or a wide lower face | £180 |
| 2 standard areas | £210 |
| 3 standard areas, the whole upper face | £250 |
Why bunny lines cost less than one standard area
Because it is a smaller job. A standard area at £170 covers a broad muscle group across the forehead or around both eyes, and takes more product and more injection points. The nasalis is small, it sits close to the surface, and it needs very little. Charging £170 for it would be charging you for product you are not getting.
It also means that if bunny lines are genuinely the only thing bothering you, you are looking at the cheapest treatment on my anti-wrinkle list rather than the most expensive. That is worth knowing before you book a three-area treatment you did not need.
What bunny lines cost booked with something else
Most people who ask about bunny lines are already thinking about the frown line too, so here are the totals.
| What you book | Total |
|---|---|
| Bunny lines on their own | £150 |
| Bunny lines with a lip flip | £300 |
| Bunny lines with a brow lift | £300 |
| Bunny lines with 1 standard area | £320 |
| Bunny lines with 2 standard areas | £360 |
| Bunny lines with 3 standard areas | £400 |
Are bunny line injections worth it?
It depends entirely on whether the lines bother you when your face is moving or when it is still.
If you see them in photographs and in the mirror when you laugh, and they are not there at rest, then yes, this is a treatment that does the thing you want for £150. If they are faintly visible at rest, you will get a partial improvement and I will say so at the consultation rather than after you have paid. And if you have never actually noticed them and someone else pointed them out, I would leave them alone.
Does treating bunny lines make your nose look smaller?
No. This comes up constantly and the answer is a flat no. Relaxing the nasalis stops the skin creasing. It does not change the width of your nose, the size of the tip, the height of the bridge or the shape of your nostrils, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something.
If what you want is a different nose shape, that is filler, not toxin, and it is a different treatment at a different price. The non-surgical nose job is £150 for the Pixie Tip Lift, which lifts and refines a tip that sits low, and £180 for the 1ml liquid rhinoplasty, which smooths a bump on the bridge and straightens the profile. Neither one is a substitute for the other.
Is treating bunny lines risky?
It is a small placement in a well-understood muscle, and in competent hands it is one of the lower-risk things on the list. The specific thing to know about this area is that the muscles controlling your upper lip sit just below it. If product is placed too low or too deep, it can affect how your top lip moves or how you smile, usually for a few weeks until it wears off.
That is a placement problem, not a product problem, and it is avoided by injecting shallow, staying high on the sides of the nose and using a small dose. It is also the reason I would rather you came to someone who does this regularly than to whoever is cheapest. Anti-wrinkle injection side effects covers the wider list honestly, including the ones nobody mentions.
What this treatment will not do
- It will not change the shape or size of your nose.
- It will not remove a line that is fully etched in at rest. It softens the movement that deepens it.
- It will not do anything for the lines that run from your nose down to the corners of your mouth. Those are a different problem and usually a filler question.
- It will not improve skin texture, pores or pigmentation across the nose.
- It will not last forever. It wears off, and when it does the muscle works exactly as it did before.
Can skincare do anything for bunny lines?
Not for the creasing itself. Nothing you put on the surface stops a muscle contracting, so a retinol or a peptide serum will not keep your nose from folding when you scrunch it. What good skincare does do is improve the quality of the skin that is being folded, and skin with better hydration and collagen holds a crease less readily once the movement stops.
So it is worth doing, but it works on the static half of the problem rather than the dynamic half. If texture and thinness across the whole face are the real concern rather than one creasing muscle, that is a skin booster conversation: Seventy Hyal 2000 is £165 a session and Profhilo is £185.
Face taping, which comes up a lot, does nothing lasting. It holds skin flat while it is on and the muscle works exactly as before once it comes off.
Why I price by area rather than by units
You will see clinics quote a price per unit, and on paper that looks transparent. In practice it makes the final bill impossible to work out in advance, because you do not know how many units you need until someone has assessed you, and the number can move.
Bunny lines here are £150 whether yours take a small dose or a slightly larger one. The dose is a clinical decision I make at the appointment, not a lever on the price. You know what you are paying before you sit down, which is the whole point of putting every price on the page.
Who I would say no to
I will not treat you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have a neuromuscular condition, if there is an active skin infection at the site, or if you are under 18. The prescriber assesses all of that at the £25 consultation, which is the point of it.
I will also say no, or at least say wait, if the lines you are unhappy with are static rather than dynamic, or if you have had a frown line treatment in the last two weeks and it has not yet settled. Treating on top of something that has not finished working is how people end up over-treated.
What happens, from the prescriber consultation to the 14-day review
If this is your first anti-wrinkle treatment with me, a prescriber has to assess you and issue a prescription before anything can be injected. Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine and that step is a legal requirement, not a formality. It is £25, paid once per prescription period rather than once per treatment, and I arrange it for you. Message me on WhatsApp or call 07831 846273 before you book.
Once the prescription is in place you book the treatment itself on Fresha. The appointment is short. I go through your medical history, clean the skin and place the injections, and you leave with a few small pinpoint marks that settle quickly. Fourteen days later you come back so I can see where it has settled, and that review is included.
If you would rather talk it through with me first, a standalone consultation is £15 on Fresha and it is deducted from your treatment if you go ahead. Booked with a treatment directly, the consultation happens at the start of that appointment with no separate fee.
Bunny lines, or something else?
Half the people who message me about bunny lines are describing something else entirely, so this is the short version of what treats what.

| Diagonal creases across the nose when you scrunch it | Bunny lines, anti-wrinkle injections | £150 |
| Lines between the brows when you concentrate | 1 standard area, anti-wrinkle injections | £170 |
| A tip that sits low or drops when you smile | Pixie Tip Lift, filler | £150 |
| A bump on the bridge, or a profile you want straightened | 1ml liquid rhinoplasty, filler | £180 |
| Overall skin quality rather than one muscle creasing | Seventy Hyal 2000 skin booster | £165 |
| Overall skin quality rather than one muscle creasing | Profhilo skin booster | £185 |
