Pixie Tip Lift in Portsmouth: £150, 45 Minutes, and What It Will Not Do

A fine needle held at the tip of a nose during a pixie tip lift, the point where the filler sits

A pixie tip lift is the smallest thing I do to a nose, and it is the one people ask about most carefully. They have usually been looking at their own profile in photographs for a while, they do not want a different nose, and they are worried that asking for something small will get them something obvious.

So here is the whole of it: what the treatment is, what it costs at my clinic in Southsea, how it differs from the fuller reshape, and the part most pages skip, which is what it cannot do. I am Natasha, I am the only practitioner at House of Glam HQ, and I do every nose here myself.

What is a pixie tip lift?

A small amount of hyaluronic acid filler placed at the base of the tip of the nose, so the tip sits a little higher and reads as more defined in profile. That is the treatment. Nothing goes along the bridge. The appointment is 45 minutes and the price is £150.

It suits two situations. The first is a tip that sits low at rest, which tends to make the nose look longer than it is and can throw a shadow under it in photographs. The second is a tip that drops further when you smile, so your profile in a photo looks different from your profile in the mirror. Filler at the base gives the tip something to sit on, and the change is measured in millimetres rather than anything dramatic.

What is a Tinkerbell nose tip lift?

The same treatment under a different name. You will also see it called a pixie nose lift, a nasal tip lift or simply nose tip filler. They all describe filler placed at the base of the tip to raise it. I call it a Pixie Tip Lift on my price list because that is what most people in Portsmouth search for, but if you book it under any of the other names you are booking the same 45 minutes.

Is a tip lift done with filler, or with anti-wrinkle injections?

Here it is filler, and only filler. I do not offer a muscle-relaxing treatment for the nose tip, so if that is specifically what you are after, I am not the right clinic for it and I would rather say so now than at the consultation. Everything I place in a nose is CE-marked hyaluronic acid, which means it can be dissolved again.

How can I fix a droopy nasal tip?

Honestly, it depends on why it droops, and that is the question the assessment exists to answer.

If the tip has simply lost support, or never had much, filler at the base lifts it and the result is visible the same day. If the tip drops mainly because of how the muscle under your nose behaves when you smile, filler still gives support, but it will not stop the muscle moving, so the drop will be softened rather than removed. I will tell you which of those I think you are before you pay for anything.

If the issue is structural, or involves a septum that affects how you breathe, filler is not the answer and nor is any injectable. That is a surgical question, and I will say so at the assessment rather than take the booking. The longer version of that conversation is in my guide to what a nose job without surgery can and cannot change.

How much does a nasal tip lift cost?

£150 at House of Glam HQ, and that is the price you pay, not a starting point. Every price is published, where most Portsmouth clinics quote only after a consultation. Here is the full nose list.

Treatment Price
Pixie tip lift, the tip only, 45 minutes £150
Liquid rhinoplasty, 1ml, bridge and tip, 45 minutes £180
Assessment on its own, deducted from your treatment £15

There is no course and no discounted repeat rate, because a nose does not need one. Klarna is available on treatments over three monthly payments, which comes to £50 a month for the tip lift. If you book the treatment itself, the assessment happens at the start of that appointment and there is no separate fee. The £15 only applies when you book the assessment on its own, and it comes off the treatment if you go ahead.

Pixie tip lift or liquid rhinoplasty?

This is the decision that matters, and it is worth £30 and a fairly different result. The tip lift treats the tip on its own. The 1ml liquid rhinoplasty puts filler along the bridge as well, which is what you need if there is a bump to smooth or a profile to straighten.

Plenty of people arrive asking for the full reshape and leave with the tip lift, because the tip was the thing bothering them and the bridge was fine. It works the other way round too. The table below is how I sort it in my head.

What is bothering you What I would do Price
The tip sits low Pixie tip lift £150
The tip drops when you smile Pixie tip lift £150
A bump on the bridge Liquid rhinoplasty, 1ml £180
A flat or low bridge Liquid rhinoplasty, 1ml £180
A bump and a low tip Liquid rhinoplasty, 1ml £180
You want the nose smaller Neither, filler only adds —

Notice the last row. It is the one I have the most conversations about. There is a full breakdown of what you are paying for on my non-surgical nose job cost page, and both treatments sit together on the main non-surgical nose job page in Portsmouth.

What happens in the 45 minutes

Numbing cream goes on for 15 to 20 minutes. While it works I go back over what is changing and what is not, with a mirror, because the gap between what someone pictured and what filler actually does is where disappointment comes from.

Then small amounts, placed slowly, and I sit you up between them to look at your profile rather than deciding it while you are lying flat. The filler is lidocaine-blended, so most people describe pressure rather than pain. The nose is more sensitive than the lips in my experience, but it is also quicker.

I should be plain about one thing. The nose carries more risk than most areas for filler, because of the vessels that run through it. That is why I assess suitability before anything goes in, work in small amounts, and use a filler that can be dissolved if it needs to come out. It is also why I would rather you booked the assessment than booked the treatment blind.

The first week

You see the change the same day. Mild swelling can blur it for a day or two, which is normal and not a reason to panic on day two.

When What to expect
The same day The lift is visible. A little redness at the entry point, which settles within hours
Days one to three Mild swelling can make the tip look slightly fuller than the result
The first 24 hours No gym, no alcohol
The first 48 hours Glasses off the nose, including sunglasses
Around two weeks The shape has settled. This is the version to judge

Judge it at two weeks, not at two days. If something worries you before then, message me rather than sitting with it.

How long does a Tinkerbell tip lift last?

Nine to twelve months for most people, and that is the figure I would plan your money around. A tip lift places less filler than the 1ml reshape, so if you are someone whose filler has always seemed to go early, expect the same here. It fades gradually rather than disappearing, so the nose does not change back overnight. I have written the longer answer, including what makes it last longer or shorter, in how long nose filler lasts.

If you decide you want it gone before then, hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. That is a separate booking: a £15 patch test at least a week beforehand, then the dissolve itself, priced from £180 depending on the area and confirmed at the patch test before anything is injected.

What a pixie tip lift will not do

Filler adds. It never takes away. Everything below follows from that one sentence.

  • It will not make your nose smaller. If reduction is the goal, surgery is the honest answer and I will tell you that rather than sell you something adjacent.
  • It will not narrow a wide nose. It can change how the tip reads in profile, which sometimes makes a nose look less dominant from the front, but that is a side effect rather than the treatment.
  • It will not touch the bridge. A bump stays a bump. That is the 1ml treatment.
  • It will not help you breathe. Nothing injectable will, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling.
  • It is not permanent, and it is not meant to be. That is a feature when you are trying something for the first time.

If you want a change that is bigger than that, say so at the assessment and I will tell you plainly whether filler gets you there.

When I would say wait

Pregnancy and breastfeeding, an active skin infection over the nose, and some autoimmune conditions all mean waiting or not going ahead at all. Existing nose filler, or previous nose surgery, needs assessing properly before anything else is placed. Every treatment here except piercing is for adults only, over 18.

I would rather have the awkward conversation at a £15 assessment than halfway through an appointment you have already paid for.
