A larger syringe does not automatically produce a better result. If the tissue is already full, adding more can increase heaviness, irregularity, or migration instead of creating cleaner definition. Capacity varies with anatomy, previous filler, tissue quality, and the result you want. I may recommend a staged plan rather than placing more product in one appointment. That approach gives the tissue time to settle and makes the review more useful.
Age alone does not decide suitability. Adults in their early twenties may want help with structural asymmetry, while older adults may seek support after age-related volume loss. A surgical consultation may be more appropriate for anyone seeking a permanent change, a major structural lift, or correction of significant philtral length. Filler can improve appearance, but it cannot shorten the philtrum or remove excess skin.

The first hour isn't the finished result. Lips can look swollen immediately, with the border appearing sharper or fuller than it will once the tissue settles. At around three days, swelling and bruising may still be visible. By two weeks the result is reliable enough to judge, which is why nothing gets added before then.

HA filler typically lasts 6 to 12 months in the lips. The lips move frequently and have substantial blood supply, so they generally don't hold filler for as long as some less mobile facial areas. Reversibility and warning signs
Hyaluronidase is a prescription-only medicine in the UK.
